How do I enable Mouzz after installing?+
Mouzz appears in your menu bar after installation. Click the Mouzz icon to open the control panel, choose your preferred effect (spotlight, ring, trail, or click feedback), and toggle it on. The effect applies system-wide immediately.
Does Mouzz work with screen recording software?+
Yes. Mouzz renders as a system overlay that screen recording tools capture automatically. OBS, QuickTime, Loom, Zoom screen sharing, and all other recording software will show the cursor effects in your recordings.
Can I use Mouzz during presentations?+
Yes. Mouzz works across all macOS applications including Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides. The cursor effects remain visible in both editing and presentation modes, and audiences see the effects during screen sharing.
Does Mouzz require any special permissions?+
No. Mouzz runs as a lightweight menu bar app and does not require Accessibility permissions or any elevated access. It works within the standard macOS application sandbox.
How do I restore my purchase on a new Mac?+
Open the Mac App Store, go to your account, and check your purchase history. Mouzz will be available for re-download at no additional cost. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Can I get a refund?+
Refunds for Mac App Store purchases are handled directly by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find Mouzz in your purchase history, and submit a refund request. We cannot process refunds independently of Apple.
Is there a free version of Mouzz?+
The Mouzz Chrome extension is completely free and adds cursor highlighting to any browser tab. The full Mac desktop app with system-wide effects, cursor trails, click sounds, and hotkey controls is available for a one-time purchase of $4.99 on the Mac App Store.
Mouzz is not showing any effects. What should I do?+
Make sure Mouzz is running (check for the icon in your menu bar), and verify that at least one effect is toggled on in the control panel. If effects still do not appear, try quitting and reopening the app. If the issue persists, contact us at contact@mouzz.dev.
