Mouzz is a native macOS menu bar utility that makes your cursor and keyboard easy to follow during presentations, screen recordings, online teaching, and live demos. The free Mac App Store app adds a spotlight, an animated ring, cursor trails, click feedback, click sounds, shake-to-locate, and hold-to-draw screen annotations. Mouzz Pro — a separate, notarized direct download — adds a one-take screen recorder, on-device auto captions, live full-screen zoom, a keystroke visualizer, a camera bubble, a loupe magnifier, focus mode, and pro annotation tools: features the Mac App Store sandbox does not allow. ## Free Features (Mac App Store)

- Spotlight Effect: dims the screen except a circle, horizontal bar, or vertical bar around the cursor
- Ring Cursor: an animated ring that follows the pointer, with adjustable size, color, and speed
- Cursor Trail: seven trail styles (particles, solid, dots, dashed, glow, stars, kawaii)
- Click Feedback: a visual ripple on every mouse click
- Click Sounds: optional audio feedback on clicks
- Shake to Locate: shake the mouse to briefly enlarge and find the cursor
- Screen Annotations: hold Fn or Right Option (or set a hotkey) to draw arrows, boxes, and freehand marks on screen
- Customizable global hotkeys for every effect (no default shortcuts, so nothing is claimed until you assign it)

- One-Take Screen Recorder: records the screen with all effects, system audio, and mic baked in live — a share-ready file with zero editing
- Auto Captions & Subtitles: on-device live captions plus burned-in caption styles and .srt export
- Keystroke Visualizer: shows key presses on screen so viewers can follow every shortcut (six styles)
- Live Screen Zoom and Auto-Zoom on Click: magnifies the screen in real time, anchored to the cursor
- Loupe Magnifier: a circular lens that follows the cursor and enlarges whatever it hovers over
- Camera Bubble: a floating webcam circle or card, captured into recordings
- Focus Mode: dims everything except the frontmost window

## Permissions

- The free core cursor effects require no special permissions.
- Optional features may request standard macOS permissions the first time they are used: Input Monitoring for the Right Option hold-to-draw shortcut, and Screen Recording for Mouzz Pro's zoom and loupe. Everything is processed locally on the Mac; nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
